Say Owt Slam #22 featuring Inua Ellams
Our last slam until October!
Poets vs poets in a highly charged, highly energetic and highly fun evening of entertainment, verse, rhyme and words. Highly Commended in the York Culture Awards!
Each poet gets 3 mins to impress the audience and win a cash prize! Interested? Email info@sayowt.co.uk for a slot or more info.

Featuring very special guest Inua Ellams.

Born in Nigeria in 1984, Inua Ellams is an internationally touring poet, playwright, performer, graphic artist & designer. His first play ‘The 14th Tale’ was awarded a Fringe First at the Edinburgh International Theatre Festival and his fourth ‘Barber Shop Chronicles’ sold out its run at England’s National Theatre.
Across his work, Identity, Displacement & Destiny are recurring themes in which he also tries to mix the old with the new.

“Ellams’ poetry gleams with a dusty, worn, deeply original beauty and he remains such wonderfully generous company to keep on stage.”— Metro Newspaper
